WHO IS PROD FCS GRID?

I spent years building beats before I started understanding that I was also building an identity.

ProdFcsGrid is the name I use as a beatmaker and the identity behind FCSGRID. What started around music gradually became something much bigger: a space where I could document the process, experiment with ideas and build a world around the things I create.

I produce beats, study music, explore different sounds and try to understand why certain combinations create certain feelings. For me, production has never been only about opening a DAW and making a loop. It is about references, experiences, observation and everything that eventually finds its way back into the music.

MORE THAN MAKING BEATS

I've been producing beats for more than a decade, and during that time my relationship with music changed many times. There were periods of obsession, periods of doubt, periods where I produced constantly and others where I had to step away and look at everything from another perspective.

One thing remained the same: I kept coming back to the process.

That process eventually became FCSGRID. The name represents more than a producer profile. It became a place where I could connect beatmaking, culture, visual identity, storytelling and the things I was learning along the way.

FROM RECIFE TO THE WORLD

I come from Recife, Brazil, and a big part of what I am building is connected to that perspective.

Being an independent producer in Brazil means learning how to do many things yourself. You don't only make the music. You learn how to present it, distribute it, communicate it, build an audience and understand the business around it.

That necessity pushed me into other areas that I didn't initially expect to become part of my creative process.

MUSIC AND TECHNOLOGY

At some point, I started writing code and building my own websites. What initially looked like something completely separate from music slowly became another form of creative expression.

I started working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web development, building the platforms around my music and eventually creating the FCSGRID blog itself.

The more I worked with technology, the more I realized that the same mentality I use when producing a beat can exist in programming: structure, experimentation, repetition, mistakes, refinement and eventually finding the right combination.

The medium changes. The creative process doesn't.

WHY THE BLOG EXISTS

The FCSGRID blog exists because I wanted to document the part of the journey that usually disappears.

The finished beat is only one part of the story. Behind it there are thousands of decisions, unfinished ideas, bad beats, experiments, changes in direction, doubts, discoveries and moments when you question whether you're actually moving forward.

I wanted a place where those things could exist.

Some articles are about production. Others are about creativity, discipline, music business, technology, culture or simply what it feels like to keep building something independently.

There is no perfect formula here.

Just the perspective of a beatmaker documenting the process.

BUILDING SOMETHING OF MY OWN

FCSGRID is still evolving.

The music continues. The website continues. The blog continues. I'm still learning new technologies, developing new ideas and trying to understand where all these different interests can lead.

I've learned that being creative isn't necessarily about doing one thing forever. Sometimes the next beat comes from a movie. Sometimes an idea comes from a website. Sometimes a technical problem teaches you something that eventually changes the way you approach music.

Everything becomes reference.

And that's probably the most important part of this project: I'm not trying to separate who I am as a producer from everything else I do. I'm trying to understand how all of it connects.

THIS IS FCSGRID

I'm ProdFcsGrid.

Beatmaker. Producer. Creator.

I'm building FCSGRID from Recife, documenting the process as I go and trying to turn everything I learn into something useful, whether that's a beat, a story, a website, an idea or simply another step forward.

There is still a lot to build.

And this is only the beginning.
