For a long time I believed that to succeed in music you had to give up everything and live exclusively for it.
Social media makes it seem easy.
People only show the wins: the sold beats, the views, the money, the freedom.
A Double Life
For years my life was split in two.
During the day: Reviewing access logs. Formatting machines. Cleaning hardware.
During the night: Beats, samples, drums and music.
But over time I understood something important: most dreams are not built in perfect conditions.
The Misunderstood Part
Many people think that discipline means motivation. No. Many times I've opened the DAW without motivation.
Discipline is doing something even without external motivation — even when you're tired.
But I kept showing up. Even if the beat wasn't perfect. Even if nobody listened.
The End
Maybe success isn't about escaping reality instantly.
Maybe it's about building another reality little by little until one day it becomes your real life.
And maybe those midnight sessions are not delaying the dream. Maybe they are the dream.
