Maybe this isn't really a story about creative block.
Because honestly, I don't think creativity simply disappears.
Still, I haven't produced a beat in almost two weeks. Maybe after running at full speed for so long, it was time to stop for a moment and look around.
The Pause
Produce, Export, Upload, Repeat
And to be fair, that mindset helped me build discipline
But lately I've been learning something different:
Speed will never be more important than direction
So instead of forcing myself to make beats every day, I started working behind the scenes
Coding my website.
Building a new version of my blog.
Creating things that nobody sees immediately.
Creativity Doesn't Live Only In Music
For a long time I connected creativity exclusively with making beats
Now I'm starting to understand that creativity is much bigger than that
Maybe the beat isn't the only artwork. Maybe the entire ecosystem around it is art too.Back To Cinema
One thing I've been doing a lot recently is watching films.
And honestly, I think cinema is one of the most important schools an artist can have.
When I watch a great movie, I'm not only following the story.
I'm studying it
I'm paying attention to pacing
To tension, to silence.
The more I watch, the more I realize music and cinema are speaking the same language.
No Sad Stories
It's simply a report from a beatmaker who is still climbing.
A beatmaker who learned that sometimes growth doesn't happen in public.
Sometimes growth happens in silence
Away from numbers, away from expectations, the beats will come back
But now they'll return with more clarity than before speed is no longer my number one priority but it will always remain one of the tools I carry with me.
